Mandy Velus is the Founder and Principal Designer of VELUS INTERIORS, a Chicago interior design studio specializing in full-scope residential renovations, furnishings, and art curation.

Growing up in New York, Mandy first became drawn to interior design through the city’s historic brownstones. Their craftsmanship and architectural details caught her attention, but stepping inside revealed another world of possibilities. The ceilings, walls, floors, and relationships between rooms showed her how design could shape the experience of a home.

Her father, a professional photographer, offered another way of seeing. Watching him work taught her to notice light, composition, and the beauty in everyday moments. That attention to detail continues to inform the way she considers a room, from its proportions to the objects and artwork that give it character.

Today, Mandy brings those influences to homes shaped around her clients’ needs, personal style, and daily lives.

For Mandy, a home should offer a sense of calm when you walk through the door. Beauty matters in the details, but so does how a space feels and functions every day. Her work is grounded in that connection: homes to be lived in, loved, and made your own.
